LOAN PERIODS & FINES
Three weeks: books, audio books, and music CDs.
One week: DVDs and magazines.
Two weeks: DVDs more than 7 hours (420 minutes).
Typically items may be renewed twice, however, items with holds on them will not be available for renewal.
Inter-Library Loan materials are due on date indicated by lending library.
Reference materials do not circulate.
The director may establish the loan period for special collections and/or materials temporarily in high demand.
Fines and Charges
Adult Books, including audio books: $.10/day fine
Children's Books: $.05/day fine
Periodicals: $.10/day fine
Materials borrowed from other libraries fall under the owning library’s loan and fine schedule
Library users are expected to pay fines prior to checking out materials. Exceptions may be made in individual cases. Continual lack of payment will result in loss of borrowing privileges and/or legal action will be pursued per Village of Osceola in accordance to Wisconsin State Statute 943.61.
If materials are damaged to the extent determined by the library director that they are unsuitable for the collection, the responsible party must pay the replacement cost.
